Hector Castro

Very reserved, strong silent type. Local artist and juvenile diabetes research supporter. Team logo designer and hashtag executer. Racer recruiter and all around bad ass...
Growing up in the ghetto streets of Pacoima, California, you become a product of your environment and grow up faster then what a child normally would have. My father did his best to keep me out of trouble and got me into cycling at a very young age. He was a roadie and I'd ride with him on my BMX bike. That's where it all started...
BMX will forever be my first love, but after many years, broken bones and major surgeries, I needed to do something else. That's when I started riding track bikes. I met "New Kids On The Block” Jonathan JT Tessler and his “lover boy toy” Jonathan Fisch at the Encino velodrome. They couldn't handle the beef and kept getting dropped, so I guess they were either impressed with my sheer power or stunning good looks.

I became one of the early founding racers on the team, and to this day, I am grateful to be apart of a rad group of “Homies” who don’t take themselves serious and share the same love for riding and having fun.
